The Five Extensions of Being
I breathe in love for myself, I breathe out love for my family,
I breathe in love for myself, I breathe our love for my coworkers,
I breathe in love for myself, I breathe our love for my communities,
I breathe in love for myself, I breathe our love for my coworkers,
I breathe in love for myself, I breathe our love for my Mother Nature.
You do not exist as an isolated entity; instead, your life is fundamentally interwoven with five distinct extensions:
the self, family, work, communities, and nature.

The more your awareness expands to embrace these connections, the more you evolve toward your true potential. This proposition challenges the common "illusion of independence"—the belief that we are entirely self-made or self-sufficient. In reality, you are totally dependent on these five extensions for your survival and growth. To understand this teaching, it is necessary to examine each extension:
Self
This extension includes your physical body, your 100 trillion internal bacteria, your thoughts, emotions, and your existential desire to understand your purpose. Without a deep connection to this internal self, no other experience is possible
Family
Your family provides your genetic makeup and the foundational values that form your identity. This bond begins in the womb and expands to include parents, siblings, and eventually spouses and children, acting as a core support system
Work
Work is defined as any goal-based pursuit, such as a career, volunteering, or even a hobby. Through these interactions, you co-create, achieve self-worth, and establish camaraderie with others
Community
While you often inherit your family and work circumstances, you have a greater choice in your community. Choosing diverse social relationships that challenge and broaden your views—such as friends, forums, and associations—expedites your evolution
Nature
This is considered the most vital extension because you cannot survive without its air, water, and nourishment. Nature is not "outside" of you; the food you eat literally becomes your physical body, connecting you directly to the Earth and the wider universe
The goal of this proposition is to move beyond a "contracted" existence. Foregoing any of these extensions—such as ignoring your family or being miserable at work—prevents you from finding Purposehood and leads to a life of suffering. Conversely, when you realize that your actions ripple through these extensions like a "butterfly effect," you begin to live in harmony with the universal purpose of life, viewing all humanity and nature as part of one interconnected system
